CP Olaleye, the new Osun Police Commissioner, takes office

The Osun State Police Command has announced the appointment of Faleye Sunday Olaleye as the new commissioner of police.

The arrival of the new CP follows the recent elevation and redeployment of the former Commissioner of Police, AIG Olawale Olokode, according to a statement signed by Yemisi Opalola, the command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).

The new police commissioner, Olaleye, was born in Ekiti State’s Ifelodun/Irepodun local government area in Iyin-Ekiti.

“The Commissioner of Police is a B.Sc. in Geography and M.Sc. in Public Administration.

In March 1990, he was appointed as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police into the Nigerian Police Force (Cadet ASP).

A proud Nigerian, CP Faleye Olaleye has served in a number of the nation’s States. Delta, Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ebonyi, Plateau, Taraba, FHQ Abuja/Lagos, Zone 5 Benin, Zone XI Osogbo, Angola (United Nations), and others are just a few of the States he has worked for.

“A pure-bred professional who, since entering the Force, has made waves in the Administration, Operations, and Investigations divisions, which make up the Nigeria Police, like a colossus.

Before moving to this Command last month, CP Faleye served as the Counter Terrorism Unit’s Commissioner of Police.

“An officer who is renowned for his openness and whose open door approach is commendable.”

CP Olaleye is a happily married father of two children, according to the statement.
