The Archbishop of the Bendel Province, Anglican Diocese of Ughelli, the Most Rev. Cyril. O. Odutemu PhD, JP has urged the Delta State Governor-elect, Sheriff Oborevwori not to spend his time halfway with sycophants.
The cleric handed down the charge during a homily he delivered as part of activities marking the rite of passage of the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, HRM.(Dr )Richard Layeguen Ogbon Ogoni-Oghoro I JP.
Archbishop Odutemu said, “Okowa is already concluding his administration. Do not spend your time halfway with sycophants.
“As you begin your tenure under God, know that there’s time for everything. I do not see you spending four years in office. I see you spending eight years in office.”
Archbishop Odutemu urged the Governor-elect to do everything within his time to attract development to Delta State.
“If you ask the man you’re going to succeed, he will tell you that there are some things he wanted to do that he couldn’t finish.”
Archbishop Odutemu earlier paid tribute to the departed Ohworode of Olomu saying, “Papa was a lover of the church. A true child of God who came, who saw and conquered.”
While noting that there’s time for everything, Archbishop Odutemu said the end of the revered monarch has come.
