Does Governor Soludo’s decision to outlaw Bet9ja, Nairabet, and other betting firms in Anambra make sense?

Because to suspected “black deals,” Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has banned the operation of casinos and gambling establishments there, including Bet9ja.

Popular Nigerian betting sites including Bet9ja, 1960bet, Nairabet, 9jaPredict, and BetNigeria are no longer permitted to do business inside the borders of the state of Anambra.

Why Was It Bann?

The statement containing the notification of the prohibition was co-signed by the commissioners for homeland affairs, Mr. Chikodi Anara, the chairman of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, Richard Madiebo, and the commissioner for culture, entertainment, and tourism, Mr. Donatus Onyenji.

The statement claims that the prohibition is a response to a troubling amount of petitions that the government has received over the manipulation of gaming machines and non-transparency in wins payments.

Part of the declaration read:

“This dishonest activity must be stopped right once because Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration will not let it to flourish.

As a result, the Anambra government now orders owners of gaming establishments in hotels, restaurants, and bars to halt all gaming and casino activities while inquiries are ongoing.

It’s over!

This implies that until further notice, residents of Anambra will not be able to place bets at any of their preferred betting locations.

Such a shame for people who are unfamiliar with online betting.
