On Monday, Fani-Kayode made the claim while participating on Channels TV Politics Today.

The former minister, who is a member of the APC presidential campaign committee, said that the APC was controlled by “demons” while he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Fani Kayode, however, said in a speech on Monday that “demons have now left the APC and infiltrated the PDP.”

He said that all of the concerns he and others had voiced in the past that motivated them to join the party had now been resolved as a result of the APC’s new leadership.

He stated:

“The APC of today is different from the APC of the past.

The devils that were then in the APC have just moved and joined the PDP.

“Ethnicity is valued in the APC now, potentially in contrast to the past. I won’t be afraid to say it.

“As a result of my then-current opinions, things changed. There was a change in the party’s leadership.

“New individuals were hired, and the governors, who are people I know well, offered me promises that they would keep.

“We saw a scenario in which the PDP was changing and becoming into the same monster that we believed the APC to be.

“They opened their doors, offered an equal playing field regardless of your creed or race, and they delivered on that promise.”
