Erling Haaland’s absence from the 2022 World Cup has been called “unfortunate” by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Haaland won’t be competing in the event because Norway didn’t make it.

The preparations Guardiola has for the individuals of his team who will be left behind when Qatar 2022 begins have finally been made public.

“Maybe for ten days or two weeks, we’ll travel and visit family before returning.

“After the World Cup, we have two weeks to rekindle our rhythm.

Erling would have preferred to travel to the World Cup with Norway, but he is unable to.

However, the Euros are in two years, so he can now concentrate on his team, according to Guardiola.
