Presidency of Osinbajo as FEC Honors Late Amaechi

At the State House Council Chambers in Abuja on Wednesday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over a hybrid meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

For a normal medical checkup, President Muhammadu Buhari is currently traveling to the UK.

Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the President’s Chief of Staff, are present at the meeting.

Before the meeting began, Mustapha informed the cabinet of the passing of Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, the first Minister of Aviation of Nigeria.

A minute of silence was then observed by the council in memory of the late Amaechi, who passed away on Monday at the age of 92.

Niyi Adebayo, Rauf Aregbesola, Sunday Dare, Adeleke Mamora, and Niyi Adebayo, ministers of industry, trade, and investments, interior, sports, and youth development, are all physically present during the conference.

Others include Babatunde Fashola’s office of Works and Housing and Mahmood Abubakar’s office of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Ekumankama Joseph Nkama, the minister of state for health, and Mariam Katagum, the minister of state for industry, trade, and investments, were also present at the meeting.
