Ten Hag to break Man Utd’s transfer record to buy Ronaldo’s teammate

Manchester United are looking to sign Goncalo Ramos in a club-record transfer this summer, according to the UK Mirror.

United boss Erik ten Hag wants to carry out a major summer rebuild at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial has lacked form and fitness this season, while Wout Weghorst’s loan will not be renewed, and Marcus Rashford prefers to play on the left.

Ten Hag is keen to overhaul his attack, and it is believed the Red Devils are planning to buy Ramos as well as their No. 1 target Harry Kane from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Ramos has scored 17 Primeira Liga goals this season and 25 in all competitions, and he will cost around £100 million.

The 21-year-old displaced Cristiano Ronaldo from the Portugal side at the Qatar World Cup and impressed with his all-action performances, scoring a hat-trick against Switzerland in the last 16.
