The newly appointed political appointees have been sworn in by Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago with a mandate to work hard and earn the trust placed in them.
The chief judge of the state, judge Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, represented by Justice Hassana Bawa Wuse, administered oaths of office to the governor and other officials in government house Minna.
They are Abubakar Usman Gawu, Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Salisu, Head of Staff, Usman Abdullahi Batamangi, Chief of Staff, Sadiq Yusuf, Deputy COS, and Bello Ibrahim, respectively, as Deputy COS to the Deputy Governor.
He clarified that the appointments were personally chosen to lead their posts based on integrity, bravery, and their capacity to contribute to the state’s growth and development.
Bago also said that women will be the next appointments to be sworn in to ensure equity and fairness in the state.
“I want to extend my congratulations to the new grooms in my administration as well as my best wishes to the new brides,” he said. In keeping with our election promises, I’d want to declare that my administration is for the young people.
Bago added that “bandit activities will soon be a thing of the past” as he reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to seeing to it that communities being torn apart by insecurity are set free.
The new SSG, Abubakar Usman Gawu, responded on behalf of other appointees, pledging their dedication, devotion, and unwavering support to ensure the administration’s success in meeting its predetermined goals.
In addition to asking for prayers and support for the administration, he praised the governor for his confidence and trust in them.
