Aubameyang reacts after Arsenal fan sympathised with him

Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has responded to one of the supporters of his former club Arsenal who took sympathy on him after other fans mocked him over his performance in the Premier League clash at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

The Blues interim boss Frank Lampard decided to start Aubameyang against his former club in the 3-1 defeat.

Aubameyang was banished from the Arsenal first team after he was stripped of the club’s captaincy by Mikel Arteta and later allowed to join Barcelona.

After six months in Spain, the striker returned to the blue side of London but has endured a miserable time at Stamford Bridge.

On his return to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, Aubameyang, who scored over 90 goals for the north London side was jeered and was mercilessly mocked online as he was substituted at half-time with Arsenal 3-0 up.

But one of the Gunners fans showed pity on the 33-year-old telling him on Twitter to always be positive, stating some of the player’s sacrifices for the club.

“Almost lost his mother, caught malaria, a toxic end at Arsenal, went to Barca and got his house robbed, now gone to Chelsea and not playing at all. Was made fun of at Stamford Bridge by our players and now booed by fans that he loved,” the tweet stated.

The tweet gained traction and was picked up by an Instagram account.
Aubameyang commented on the Instagram post, saying: “You know, sometimes, people forget what’s real life and forget about how you can’t control what’s happened.”
