Pochettino alerts the referee before Chelsea vs. Liverpool

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has requested “fairness” from referee Chris Kavanagh ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final matchup between Chelsea and Liverpool.

Pochettino has stated that he disagrees with a number of the decisions made by his players after their 4-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on January 31.

Pochettino has messaged Kavanagh on officiating, with the Carabao Cup serving as his first opportunity to win a trophy with the Blues.

In contrast, Jurgen Klopp wants to win more trophies before leaving Anfield in the summer.

“I think there were too many decisions made at Anfield when we played Liverpool. We didn’t make any important decisions.

“There were not two penalties handed. 50/50s, duels, always for a different color. Red all the time. I wish to receive fair treatment.

We’re going to celebrate, of course. I’ll be the first to admit that Klopp is one of the greatest coaches in the world and Liverpool is an incredible team.

“However, I believe that what I want from Wembley is to go there and not feel under pressure, especially after my last performance there. The best team will win if all teams play at the same level. nevertheless, to avoid feeling the strain from those around them,” Pochettino said at a press conference.
