As a result of an agreement between PAOK Salonica of the Greek Super League and the Nigeria Football Federation, William Troost-Ekong will not report to the Super Eagles training camp until after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Troost-Ekong is anticipated to be one of the 25 players to return to duty when the Super Eagles begin their competition camp on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Now that PAOK has received approval from the NFF, they can start the center back in Tuesday’s league match against OFI.
Now, on Wednesday, the defender is expected to report for international duty.
After a request from Omonia Nicosia and AC Milan, respectively, the National Football Federation of France (NFF) has approved goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Samuel Chukwueze to report to training camp on the same date so that they can play in league and Coppa Italia games.
On Wednesday, January 10, the Super Eagles will leave for Côte d’Ivoire after spending a week in Abu Dhabi.
