475 Adamawa pilgrims depart Yola for Madinah

Yola was the starting point for the journey of the first group of 475 Muslim pilgrims from Adamawa State who are participating in this year’s hajj in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Aero-Contractors provided the aircraft that lifted the pilgrims into the air so that they could continue their journey.

Alhaji Mikhail Danjuma Mubi, the Public Relations Officer of the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission in Yola, has confirmed that the flight with some officials of the Commission departed the Yola International Airport at 9:18 p.m. on Sunday. Also on board were some members of the Commission.

According to him, members of the state government delegation led by the Chairman, Dr. AbdulHafiz Inuwa, as well as the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu, were at the airport to say goodbye to the pilgrims.
