Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State, announced the appointment of 21 special assistants on internal security and new media on Saturday.
The appointments will be sworn in on Monday, according to Nwifuru, who announced this in a statement made available to journalists in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, by his press secretary, Monday Uzor.
According to twiscoloaded, the appointees were chosen from each of the State’s 13 local government areas and are primarily young people.
It was believed that Nwifuru’s appointment of more than 15 special assistants for internal security would help to address the threat posed by the state’s frequent communal battles, murders, and destruction of people’ precious property by unidentified gunmen.
Emerike Chinedu, of SSA Security in Ebonyi North, Felix Okemini, of SSA Security in Izzi LGA, Sunday Ogbonna, of SA Security in Abakaliki LGA, Mbam Emmanuel Obinna, of SA, Internal Security in Ebonyi LGA, and Ogbonna Tobias, of SA, Internal Security in Ohaukwu are among the appointees.
Additionally, Obinna Oko-Enyim – SA, Internal Security Afikpo North, Chima Nnachi Okoro – SA, Internal Security Afikpo South, and Cletus Nga – SA, Internal Security Ivo LGA. Desmond Edeke – SA, Internal Security Ikwo LGA. Easy Okike-Uzo – SA, Internal Security Onicha LGA.
