After criticizing Gabriel, Ian Wright reveals that four Arsenal players are the targets of other clubs

After Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League loss to Fulham, Arsenal icon Ian Wright blasted Gabriel Magalhaes.

Wright questioned why his old club does not have a “Plan B” in games and highlighted four more Arsenal players who are being targeted by opposing teams: Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and Declan Rice.

It was on New Year’s Eve at Craven Cottage that Arsenal lost to Fulham.

The hosts defeated the Gunners 2-1 thanks to goals from Raul Jiménez and Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

In the match against Fulham, Mikel Arteta’s team did score through Bukayo Saka.

Even though De Cordova-Reid scored the winning goal, Wright thought Magalhaes might have done a better job.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, Wright expressed his belief that Bobby De Cordova-Reid could have displayed more dominance in the given situation, citing Gabriel Magalhaes’ size as an example.

Take note of the area he occupies; he remains there the entire time. That is incorrect.

“A defender you are. You must always be alert and ready to act quickly. They lost out because of those margins and how they were calculated.

You have to take risks and put the ball in risky locations when you’re playing with good players, he continued.

“Bukayo Saka must keep the ball in play.

Everyone will be watching Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard closely, therefore these are the areas where they need to improve.

Then they will limit the passing lanes into Odegaard from the defense, making it impossible for him to pivot and then pass to Saka.

Declan Rice will go around you if you block his path or confront him. That is the solution that has been found. Then what’s our backup plan?
