The All Progressives Congress (APC) branch in Benue State has finally convened a stakeholders’ meeting at the state capital of Makurdi, at the home of George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

This came after police officers prevented the party leadership, led by Comrade Austin Agada, from meeting last week per Governor Hyacinth Alia’s order.

APC members from all 23 of Benue State’s local government areas attended the meeting, which took place on Saturday and continued into the night.

The expansive mansion of Judge Akume was occupied by APC supporters as they took over the property.

Prominent members of the APC were there, including Sens. Titus Zam of Zone B and Emmanuel Memga Udende of Zone A, as well as Professor Joseph Terlumun Utsev, Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation.

Dr. Mathias Byuan, the Federal Housing Authority’s Director of Finance and Housing, Hon. Dickson Tarkighir of the Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, Hon. Austine Asema Achado of Gwer, members of the Gwer-West House of Assembly, and numerous other prominent party leaders from throughout the State were among the others.
