Arsenal is given conditions by Brentford to sell Toney in January

During the January transfer window, Brentford manager Thomas Frank made it plain that they will not trade Ivan Toney until a “unbelievable” deal comes in.

Speculation has circulated that Arsenal are interested in signing Toney, who is serving an eight-month betting suspension.

But the 27-year-old forward will return to action on January 20.

Toney will stay with the club beyond the winter transfer window, according to Frank, who spoke before the Bees’ FA Cup third round match against Wolves.

I don’t see any reason to move him because he is a Brentford player, he is here, and we are missing some offensive players.

Frank declined to address the matter further, saying, “If I could ever recommend one, it would need to be an unbelievable price, so he will stay here.”
