Arsenal has declined to pay the £70 million asking price put up by Chelsea for attacker Kai Havertz.
If Havertz doesn’t agree to a contract extension, Chelsea intends to sell him, but Arsenal is reportedly unwilling to pay his asking price of £70 million.
In order to sign the German international this summer, Arsenal has already started negotiations.
After agreeing a transfer for Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham, the Gunners are looking to close a deal.
Havertz’s current Chelsea deal has two years left on it.
But this summer, the 24-year-old is willing to leave the West London team.
