Robbie Mustoe, a former Middlesbrough midfielder, has spoken out against versatile attacker Kai Havertz, claiming that the player is ineffective in manager Mikel Arteta’s midfield rotations.
Following their stunning 2-1 Premier League loss to Fulham, something is happening.
Even though Havertz has scored three goals in his past seven Premier League games for Arteta’s team, he was ineffective against Fulham.
The German national team player failed to make a single pass or attempt a single shot on goal throughout the match.
According to Mustoe, “The struggles of Kai Havertz continue and this is what it is, he’s not effective, doesn’t do anything in there” on a recent episode of The 2 Robbies.
“We mentioned that starting on the bench with those long runs around Jesus could be a way for him to score goals and be effective, but this wasn’t the case.”
