In honor of the Nigerian artist, March 2nd has been designated as “Burna Boy’s Day” by the city of Boston in Massachusetts, USA.

This was stated in a Boston City Council paper that Councillor Ruthzee Louijeune signed.

The record states that Burna Boy received acclaim for his “advocacy works and performances.”

The manifesto included the following, among other things: “The variety of cultural events, festivals, and community projects that highlight the city’s varied landscape and: demonstrate Boston’s dedication to recognizing and appreciating culture and diversity.

In light of the fact that Burna Boy’s legacy inspires us to keep raising awareness of voices that have long been marginalized or ignored, it is agreed that March 2, 2024, will be remembered as Burna Boy Day in the City of Boston.

After making his breakthrough on the global scene in 2018, Burna Boy has performed at numerous sold-out gigs in Boston.
