In order to play in the Super Eagles’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, Rivers United defender Ebube Duru has pledged that he will be healthy.

The left-back was one of the four domestic players Jose Peseiro chose for the 23-man roster for the match on Friday.

After leaving the field with a limp during Rivers United’s 2-1 victory over Bendel Insurance on Friday, there were concerns that Duru would not make it.

However, the former Lobi Stars star claimed that he is in good health and has not suffered any injuries.

Duru told twiscoloaded, “I’m in perfect condition. It was just a minor knock.”

“Monday, I’ll join the national team camp.”

One appearance has been made by the 23-year-old for the Super Eagles.
