The public has been urged by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, or NACA, to put their safety and wellbeing first when showing love on Valentine’s Day.
Dr. Gambo Aliyu, the agency’s director general, encouraged people to test positive for HIV on a regular basis, talk to their partners about sexual health, and incorporate protection into intimate moments. He added that these actions not only improve individual health but also advance the larger objective of creating safer and healthier communities.
He urged people to embrace a holistic view of love that incorporates responsible decision-making, honest communication, and respect for one another.
“Love is a strong energy, and we can make sure that it enhances our lives without endangering our health by adopting ethical behaviors. The statement stated, “NACA is committed to offering tools, knowledge, and support to enable people in making informed decisions.
He said that in addition to making sure everyone remains educated, the organization would launch extensive awareness efforts on Valentine’s Day to inform the public about the need of safe sex practices and abstinence.
Dr. Aliyu stated that the organization is dedicated to encouraging a healthy and responsible celebration of love and that its goal is to establish an atmosphere in which love is appropriately celebrated while also building a community that is supportive and health-conscious.
