The father of two teenage boys who were recently taken hostage by gunmen in Kwara State, Mr. Lukman Aliyu, said that the kidnappers phoned and requested money in addition to other items.

In addition to wine, cigarettes, a carton of milk, and Fearless drinks, they had previously phoned to demand N20 million as ransom.

According to City & Crime, five thugs broke into the home of Quadir, 15, and Muideen, 12, last Thursday at midnight in Aseyori village, Alagbado area of Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, and abducted the two kids.

The distressed parent told our reporter that he had previously sold his Toyota Corolla and taken out a mortgage on his home to earn the required funds.

They have called us and demanded N20 million in ransom for my two children, he claims.

“Now I’ve mortgaged my home and sold my vehicle to get the money.

Even if the community has made attempts to contribute everything it has, the sum that has been realized so far is woefully insufficient.

“I want assistance from the Kwara State government.

I am now back at square one since all I can do is to acquire scrap metal and iron from mechanics. My company is now in danger,” he stated.

“They suggested we should also bring along wine, cigarettes, a carton of milk, Fearless beverages, and even charge us to pay for the bullets they fired during the operation,” he said.
