Fulham’s Goal of the Month may go to Iwobi

Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for Nigeria, is a candidate for Fulham’s Goal of the Month award.

The goal Iwobi scored in the Cottagers’ 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Norwich City on September 27 earned him a nomination.

The 27-year-old scored his first goal for Marco Silva’s team.

Another candidate for the prize is Chibuzor Nwoko, a young man who was born in Nigeria.

Nwoko’s goal helped Fulham’s U-18 team to a 3-1 victory over Chelsea.

The other nominees for the award are Ollie O’Neil, Lille Lambird, Tia Foreman, Callum Osmand, Madi Parsonson, Matt Dibley-Dias, and Callum McFarlane.

Iwobi made a late transfer to Fulham from Everton.
