The governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has revealed that the state’s inadequate primary and secondary schools compelled him to declare an emergency in the field of education.
In an interview with reporters in the state capital of Jalingo, he made this statement.
He added that “we have templates of what we want all our schools to look like” and that his administration has developed plans to give education the much-needed attention.
The governor promised to change the industry within his first 100 days in office and stated that 80 percent of his commissioners would be young people who would help propel the state to enviable heights.
In all 16 local government districts of the state, including special development regions, Kefas stated his administration will reopen primary and secondary schools. He added that his plan also included building new schools where necessary and providing infrastructure.
Recall that the governor just fired all of Ishaku’s commissioners, special advisers, board chairpersons, and parastatal leaders.
