Human suffering in Gaza is terrible, and we are shocked by this says ICRC

The ICRC has said that the current level of human suffering in Gaza as a result of the escalation of hostilities between the Israeli military and Hamas fighters is intolerable.

In a statement released to TWISCOLOADED on Saturday, the ICRC made the disclosure and urged a reduction in hostilities in the area so that humanitarian aid could be provided.

After weeks of conflict between Israel and Hamas, nearly two million civilians were stuck in Gaza with nowhere to go, according to the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC).

The Humanitarian Organization has made a plea for the safety and dignity of civilians on all sides of the conflict.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has called for the quick restoration of healthcare, water, and electricity in Gaza, citing the need to save lives as the top priority.

It went on to say that saving lives and preserving humanity should be the top priority right now, and that this includes making sure hospitals can function securely.

The level of human suffering is unbearable, and I encourage all sides to the war to immediately cease hostilities. It’s appalling that so many innocent people were killed. It cannot be tolerated that people in Gaza have nowhere to escape to avoid the heavy bombings. Due to the ongoing military blockade, no effective humanitarian aid can be delivered at this time. “This is a catastrophic failure that the world must not tolerate,” said ICRC president Mirjana Spoljaric.

It should be recalled that both Israelis and Hamas fighters were killed as the confrontation in Gaza worsened at the beginning of October.
