At the end of the third quarter of 2023, the National Pension Commission, PenCom, reported that its total assets were N16.76 trillion.

This information was recently shared with the private sector in Kano during an open forum on the contributory Pension Scheme, CPS, led by PenCom Director General Aisha Dahir-Umar.

Dahir-Umar, through its Commissioner of Administration Dr. Umar Farouk Aminu, reported that 10 million people had RSAs inside its CPS.

According to her, the commission has made tremendous progress in updating regulations and guidelines to facilitate the CPS’s rollout.

As of the conclusion of Q3 2023, there were 10 million RSAs in the CPS, and N16.76 trillion was being managed as part of their pensions.

“Accordingly, the contributions of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) in this regard cannot be overemphasised,” she stated.
