With immediate effect, all NSIPA-administered programs have been halted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The agency and its programs were suspended on Friday to allow for a continuing investigation into allegations of wrongdoing, according to Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The four NSIPA-administered programs—N-Power, Conditional Cash Transfer, Government Enterprise and Empowerment, and Home Grown School Feeding—have all been temporarily halted for six weeks, according to the presidency.

According to Imohiosen, President Tinubu has voiced serious concerns about irregularities and operational mistakes in the programs’ payments to recipients.

In light of this, he has appointed a ministerial team to examine NSIPA’s activities in depth and provide recommendations for improvements.

Everything having to do with NSIPA, such as distributes, events, payments, partnerships, and registrations, is on ice during this suspension.

Imohiosen informed reporters that the president is dedicated to conducting a fair and expedited process to guarantee that social intervention programs will help the most vulnerable Nigerians in the future. He hoped to reassure stakeholders and all Nigerians of this in a statement that was made public.
