Festus Keyamo, a former minister of labor and employment, made fun of Olusegun Obasanjo, a two-term president of Nigeria, and previous head of state General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB), whom he referred to as a “evil genius.”
IBB and Obasanjo, according to Keyamo, were both present to see Bola Tinubu elected president of Nigeria.
Additionally, he referred to Tinubu as one of the late MKO Abiola’s most devoted political “soldiers” and the victor of the 1993 presidential election that was later declared invalid.
On Monday, June 12, which is recognized as Democracy Day, Keyamo made this claim using his verified Twitter account.
He published a picture of Tinubu, the late MKO Abiola, and the late General Sani Abacha, who took over as military ruler after the election was declared invalid.
“Today, June 12, 2023, exactly 30 years after the 1993 elections, one of the most devoted political “soldiers” of the winner of that unconstitutional election (Chief MKO Abiola) has just addressed the nation as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,” read the caption for Keyamo.
God Almighty, in His wisdom, also saw it appropriate to protect the lives of two persons so that they could live to see this day: the first is the “evil genius” who annulled the election, and the second is Abiola’s kinsman from Ota who backed the annulment and has attempted to assume the role of “God” in our country’s affairs.
“In all of these, there isn’t a better story in the history of our country that fits the adage that life has indeed come full circle,” the author says.
