Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who is running for the seat of Senator representing Kogi Central for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, issued a call on Sunday for immediate investigations into the alleged attack on Governor Bello’s convoy by supporters of Murtala Yakubu-Ajaka, who is running for the position of Governorship candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Natasha claimed that the alleged attack was politically motivated and described it as a smear campaign against Yakubu in a statement that she signed on Sunday. She said that she made this claim in a statement.-Ajaka

She claimed that Bello and Ajaka were already pointing the finger of suspicion at one other, accusing the other of attempting an assassination, just as she begged for an investigation to be conducted before the situation spiraled out of control.

“The attack was a ploy to implicate Ajaka to be disqualified by INEC in the forthcoming Nov. 11 governorship election,” she stated. The poll will take place on November 11.
