There will be enough food for everyone in the nation, according to the federal government.

During a courtesy visit with Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda on Tuesday in Abuja, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Abubakar Kyari made the statement.

As he put it, the fight for food security, spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, is far from over in Katsina State.

“Our goal is to fulfill the president’s agenda of ensuring food security, reducing poverty, and creating jobs,” he declared.

He further claimed that the ministry’s dedication to the goal of the federal government to guarantee food security through the cultivation of 500,000 hectares of arable land was unwavering.

To create a real and authentic farmers list, we must work with the state and local governments, as I indicated earlier.

We need to work with the local government if we can identify the legitimate farmers, therefore this is crucial.

“This is to ensure their support for our programs and our success in achieving our goals,” he stated.

There has been a 70% reduction in insecurity affecting food production and protection of lives and property in Katsina, according to Gov. Radda, who earlier announced the news.

The governor stated that the state’s criminal elements have historically made it extremely difficult for farmers to access their fields, and that food production would be impossible without addressing insecurity.

In an effort to revitalise the state’s livestock economy, the governor announced plans to do just that.

“Our goal is to bring life back to the livestock industry. Our vision is to establish a livestock center in Katsina that will cover all aspects of livestock care, from fattening and pasture development to centers for artificial insemination,” he declared.
