NiMet foretells foggy weather and three days of sunshine

From Friday through Sunday, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted sunny skies with a little chance of haze across the nation.

On Thursday, the weather forecasting agency NiMet issued a statement in Abuja predicting that the northern region would have a small dust haze on Friday.

Throughout the forecast period, the agency is predicting a bright and hazy atmosphere over the North central region.

Over the southern cities located in the interior, it depicted partly cloudy skies with occasional sunshine.

The weather service said that southern coastal towns could see a few thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight over sections of the states of Ogun, Edo, Ondo, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa.

On Saturday, the North Central area and the northern parts of the country might anticipate a small dust haze.

The southern coastal belt and interior cities should anticipate a hazy sky with a few clouds here and there, and early morning sections of Ogun and Lagos states may see a few thunderstorms.

“In the afternoon and evening period, there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms over portions of Ondo State, Ogun, Lagos State, Rivers, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Delta,” it stated.
