Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) have all agreed to form a powerful party that will depose the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, according to political economist Professor Pat Utomi.
Utomi revealed this in an interview with Channels TV; he is a strong advocate of Peter Obi’s candidacy for president in 2023.
The Nigerian people, he claimed after speaking with the three, need leaders willing to give their lives for the country’s progress, so he decided to establish a massive party to seize power.
The prize for building a great nation, he continued, might be immortality, but we need people who are willing to suffer for it. During the previous round, I had conversations about this track while traveling with a number of presidential candidates.
“Indeed, I have conversed with Atiku Abubakar, Engineer Rabiu Kwankwaso, Peter Gregory Obi, and Ralph Okey Nwosu of ADC, among others, who will likely make up a portion of the foundation.
“And I’ve already told them—this has nothing to do with you. It concerns Nigeria and the average citizen of this state. This is about getting serious about being one of the most productive economies thanks to our (natural) assets, rather than just sharing the trickles from oil sales. The Nigerian people still haven’t been able to create because of our politicians.
The new party’s name, he added, has not been revealed yet.
