Sen. Adokwe applauds the decision of the tribunal and urges Sule to recognize Ombugadu as Governor of Nasarawa

Senator Suleiman Asonya Adokwe, who once represented the Nasarawa South Senatorial District, has praised the recent judgement issued by the tribunal led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi.

The tribunal announced on Monday that Alhaji Audu Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost the governorship election in Nasarawa State to Hon. David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on March 18.

Three-term Senator Adokwe sent his best wishes to Ombugadu, well known as “Mai Wanka,” on the occasion of his recent victory in court.

The senator insisted that the anticipated justice was being served by the tribunal’s decision, saying that it legitimately reiterates the mandate granted to the PDP and Ombugadu by the conscious inhabitants of the state.

He applauded Nasarawa as a whole, but he singled out PDP supporters for their dogged dedication, tenacity, and perseverance throughout the state’s prolonged campaign to restore the stolen mandate.

He urged political opponents to respect the tribunal’s decision and work together with Ombugadu to lead Nasarawa into the future.
