A netizen on the X platform recently called out the humor merchant, claiming that Basketmouth is contributing to the issue in Nigeria.
He said that the comic had been performing on Election Day, therefore he had not gone out to vote.
The tweep stated:
“Did Basketmouth cast an electoral ballot in favor of sound governance? Basketmouth, whose concert was scheduled for February 25, 2023. He contributes to Nigeria’s issues.
In response, Basketmouth acknowledged that he was the cause of the nation’s many issues and clarified that the dollar was worth 1,700 naira.
He declared:
“Yes, indeed! I suppose the true issue is myself!
The $ is currently N1,700 and counting because of me.
It’s me that consistently brings down the electrical grid.
The refineries aren’t operating because of me.
The snake that ingested $100,000 is me.
I suppose I’m the one.
