Professor Taiwo Asaolu has pushed for better healthcare benefits and pay for doctors and nurses as the vice chancellor of the University of Ilesa (UNILESA).
Furthermore, Asaolu was against the notion that recent medical school grads should be required to stay in the nation for a certain amount of time before being allowed to travel overseas.
The UNILESA VC urged the federal government to improve the economy and make working in the country more appealing to school leavers while speaking on the sidelines of the university’s nursing student hostel’s commissioning.
Some of these medical students would still have paid the higher tuition if it had been implemented.
Therefore, the government is paying because it is easy for them to do so. The practice of putting medical students on bond so they can’t just leave after finishing their training isn’t something I’m into.
If the job market had been more favorable, they would not have departed. People won’t quit if you pay them enough. They won’t go if the living expenses are manageable. It is imperative that we succeed.
A person’s natural inclination is to seek out locations where his lots are more advantageous. Basic necessities should be provided by the government, and the economy should be stabilized.
