The Defense Headquarters reports that in the past week, military personnel have conducted operations in the North East, North Central, and North West, and as a result, 31 terrorists have been killed and 81 others have been captured.

In a statement released on Sunday in Abuja, Defence Media Operations Director Major-General Edward Buba made the announcement.

He said that Operation HADIN KAI forces had conducted combat patrols in the North East, specifically in the Borno states of Bama and Chibok and the Yobe state of Gujba.

According to him, two IPOB/ESN criminals were apprehended by Operation Whirl Stroke troops patrolling the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue on October 1.

He said the perpetrators were caught in the house of a famous herbalist, but the herbalist himself managed to escape.

The troops also found a body armor and some bulletproof vests, he said.

Two rifles, ten rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, five cutlasses, a body armor, a bulletproof vest, and a jackknife were all seized, and the troops apprehended three suspects.
