The governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has received praise for his accomplishments thus far in office from the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

The viewpoint of Ohanaeze was communicated by President General Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, who on Tuesday led the executives of the organization on a business visit to the Governor at his residence in Isialangwa South Local Government Area.

According to Iwuanyanwu, the Ohanaeze leadership was curious about the performance of South East residents who had been elected to political office.

Chief Iwuanyanwu gave the governor an update on the efforts Ohanaeze, led by him, has been making to promote unity and development among the Igbo people.

He told Governor Otti that, despite the fact that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo had backed Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, in the previous general election because they believed that zoning favorably favored the Igbos to produce the next president, Ohanaeze had already written President Bola Tinubu to assure him of the Igbos’ support for this government’s efforts to unite and develop Nigeria.

In response, Governor Otti expressed his gratitude to the Ohanaeze leadership for making the time to see him and complimented them on their excellent work protecting Ndigbo interests in Nigeria.

Following his court triumph, he informed the Igbo leaders that he was now only focused on governance and advised everyone to assist state and federal governments in their efforts to improve Nigeria.
