After the assembly complex was set on fire and Wike and Fubara fought, the Rivers APC reacted

The Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, has strongly denounced the vandalism of public property at the State Assembly premises.

On Sunday night, the state assembly chambers were the target of an arson attack.

The APC, the state’s main opposition party, called the move a “desecration of the legislature.”

The Rivers APC’s official spokesman, Darlington Nwauju, issued a statement urging all parties to avoid endangering the state’s precarious security for personal gain.

“We had warned Rivers people of the 3rd term ambition of the immediate past Governor, Nyesom Wike and the unpatriotic agenda to continue to emasculate the state and keep our people perpetually in poverty with the “consolidation of a convoluted economy powered by mercantile distribution of state resources,” the statement read.
