Amnesty International is cautioned by the APC not to incite unrest while bragging about Nigeria’s instability

Amnesty International has been cautioned by the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to take pride in the nation’s security issues.

In response to the recent uptick in violent deaths in the states of Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, and Niger, Amnesty International has accused President Bola Tinubu of neglecting his duties.

However, the party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, claimed in a statement released on Wednesday that it was unkind and impolite of Amnesty International to charge President Bola Tinubu’s administration with neglecting its duties.

He expressed gratitude to Amnesty International for bringing attention to the country’s ongoing security issues, particularly in Plateau, Kaduna, Benue, and Zamfara, but emphasized that the organization’s conclusion was rushed and careless.

The President had promised to change the country’s security policy and architecture, and the ruling party noted that he had made it plain that security would be his administration’s first concern.

It is therefore unkind and impolite of Amnesty International through its acting Nigeria Country Director, Isa Sanusi, to accuse the newly installed government of neglecting its duties, according to Morka.

Amnesty International has a reputation for inflaming civil unrest and racial tension in developing countries by emphasizing local issues and turning them into weapons in order to further its nefarious goals, while hypocritically turning a blind eye to similar incidents in developed countries, particularly in the West.

The ruling party asked Amnesty International and its allies to hold off on launching their jaded tirade against the Nigerian government and its security forces and instead give the young government some time to figure things out in line with its promise to the people.
