As for us, we have the Adamawa Appeals. The APC does not recognize Fintiri’s court ruling

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s victory at the tribunal against the All Progressives Congress (APC) nominee, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, also known as Aishatu Binani, has been rejected by the APC in Adamawa State.

Earlier on Saturday, the Adamawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal upheld Fintiri’s legitimacy as the state’s duly elected governor.

The tribunal’s decision, which lasted until 4:30 p.m., found that Fintiri had been the rightful governor and that the APC and its governorship candidate, Binani, had committed criminal acts by failing to prove their case against Fintiri.

State APC chairman Idris Shuaibu issued a statement after the ruling saying the verdict came as a surprise to him and the party.

‘We have optimism, since we have two more opportunities after the tribunal to convey our issues and for the tribunal verdict to be overturned,’ he said.

Attorney and former legal counsel to the party in the state, Shuaibu, said that the APC would seek out a certified copy of the ruling, review it, and then appeal it in coordination with the party’s national leadership.

According to Shuaibu, “this judgment does not accurately reflect the mandate of Adamawa voters.”

He thanked party members for their support but encouraged them to maintain calm.

In Adamawa State, he stated, “the APC is determined to use every available legal means to get our mandate.”
