Posted by Rivers United has celebrated their U-17 team’s victory in the inaugural Nigeria Premier Football youth league.
In a congrats message, Okey Kpalukwu, the club’s general manager, stated that the team’s accomplishments are a real testament to the club’s goal of developing young people from the bottom up.
Kpalukwu noted that the youthful players were about to blow up the football world.
He gave his word that the NPFL champions in 2022 will keep pushing new players from the nation’s talented player pool to realize their full potential.
Kpalukwu also gave the coaches credit for their unwavering commitment to competing against the best in the football industry, as well as their skill and tactical knowledge, which helped them win in Benin City.
The champions, Rivers United, defeated Katsina United 4-2 on Saturday at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
