Dino Melaye, governor of Kogi state: I survived four attempts on my life

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Kogi State, Dino Melaye, said on Thursday that he had evaded four attempts on his life.

Melaye stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is to accountable for the attempts, and that violence is ingrained in the party’s ideology.

He made the confession during an appearance on Arise TV.

According to the former senator representing Kogi West, tension has plagued the state ever since the APC took control seven years ago.

“I have survived four assassination attempts; I have had 12 court cases of FG vs. Dino Melaye, and I have been attacked several times,” Melaye said. This is nothing new, as aggressiveness and violence are bred into every APC.

Like a wicked woodland in urgent need of rehabilitation, Kogi State is crying out for a savior.

The former senator has expressed a desire to help alleviate residents’ suffering.

He went on to say that Kogi has never been so divided in all of its history, and that the current situation was unprecedented.
