PFN charges Tinubu for reviving the country’s economy

President Bola has been asked by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to remain resolute in his efforts to rebuild the nation’s economy and regain public trust in the country’s currency.

In addition, it made a strong plea for all opposition political figures—particularly those who ran for president in 2023 but were unsuccessful—to “drop their tools” and work with President Tinubu to rebuild the nation at this crucial juncture.

After a combined CPFN/PFN meeting in Lagos, Bishop Wale Oke, the National President of the organization, addressed reporters, emphasizing that cooperation and a shared goal are necessary to quickly bring the nation back on track.

PFN recommended that President Tinubu expeditiously oversee a reassessment of salaries and pay in order to provide workers with a salary parity with the nationwide hyperinflation. He restated that Tinubu and his team’s success is something that the PFN and all of its leaders are hoping for.

“We value the work that President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria and his cabinet colleagues have put in. If they fail, then Nigeria has failed, which implies that we have all failed. We are thus praying for him as well as his group.

However, the reality is that there is hunger in the country and that things are hard. While everything has increased, incomes have remained unchanged. We therefore urge him to address the economy.

It is completely terrible when $1 is roughly equivalent to N2000.

You might question how master bakers and builders will be able to create bread that people can consume when you consider the price of flour and cement. To prevent an economic catastrophe, every action must be taken.

As a result, we urge him to see to it that pay reviews are made so that employees can make ends meet. Make sure that salaries and pensions are paid on time,” he stated.

Regarding Insecurity

Bishop Oke called on the federal government to take tough measures against kidnappers and hold them “directly” accountable for their crimes in response to the state of unrest in the nation. He declared, “The last time, we called on the administration to declare a state of emergency due to insecurity.

Governments ought to hold kidnappers accountable for their crimes, in my opinion. Nowadays, abduction is a plague that affects every area and zone. Its effects are felt in almost every region of the nation, and action must be taken.

The PFN scowled at and denounced the nation’s bankers’ excessive displays of luxury and their expensive lifestyles, urging those in the industry to exercise care. We also like to highlight the financial industry.

In a nation where young people lack employment, people are dying, and retirees are unable to access their funds, bankers exhibit such extravagant behavior. I believe that the government ought to regulate the rising opulence and cleanse the financial industry.
