European Cup Winners After Arsenal beat Sevilla 2-1, Michael Owen criticized one of their players

After nearly scoring an own goal late in Arsenal’s 2-1 Champions League win over Sevilla on Tuesday, former Manchester United striker Michael Owen was critical of David Raya’s performance.

During his postgame commentary for TNT Sports, Owen criticized Raya for another sloppy effort and pointed out the tiny blunders the Spaniard made in a loss to Sevilla.

Owen was asked if Raya’s most recent slip-up was especially embarrassing, and he responded, “Yeah. Listen up, right now everybody is watching Raya. No one will ever complain if you always make your bed.

The prior events have made it so that we question everything he does by asking, “Would Ramsdale have done that?” …and “Oh, should they be playing out in that situation?”

It was almost an own goal when he came for a cross, punched it, and miscued it.

He made a few rookie mistakes while trying to play out in the first half.

But when all the dust settles, it was a great result for Arsenal. Getting the three points puts them in an extremely solid position currently, but I think they would have been delighted just not losing tonight.

With goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal defeated Seville 3-0 in Spain.

The Gunners were defeated by the La Liga side thanks to a header by Nemanja Gudelj.
