Fubara makes fun of Wike at the crossover in the Rivers crisis, saying, “We won, they failed.”

In an effort to draw attention away from the power struggle in his state, Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has mocked Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the NCT.

Fubara swore he would never give in to Wike and his supporters’ demands that he step down as governor.

The political and resource dominance of Rivers State has put Wike and Fubara at odds.

First, President Bola Tinubu wanted Wike and Fubara to sign a peace deal so the conflict wouldn’t escalate any further.

But Fubara promised he would stay in power forever to make sure the state kept developing.

At the crossover service in Opobo Town’s St. Paul’s Archdeaconry Parish on New Year’s Eve 2024 in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, the governor delivered a speech.

I want to urge everyone here, don’t be afraid,” Fubara said. This crimson biro, which is still in my possession, is what they desire.

They were unsuccessful. Since we are both still using the red biro, we can declare victory. Development in Rivers State will persist so long as we are using the red biro for signature.

“When I stood up for you, I wasn’t governor; and I will continue to stand with you.”
