In its report on Monday titled Internally Generated Revenue on the State Level, NBS made this revelation.
The survey found that the largest IGR was produced in Lagos (N651 billion), Rivers (N172 billion), and the FCT (N124 billion) during the time period under consideration.
However, in 2022, the three states that performed the worst were Kebbi (N9,146 billion), Taraba (N10,238 billion), and Yobe (N10,456 billion).
The sub-category of PAYE, Direct Assessment, Road Taxes, Stamp Duties, Capital Gain Tax, Withholding Taxes, Other Taxes, and Local Government Areas Revenue contributed a total of N1.93 trillion in IGR for the 36 states and the FCT.
