The federal government has awarded Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, permission to build the Lekki International Airport.
The letter of clearance for the building of the Lekki airport was given to Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday.
At the Ehingbeti Lagos Economic Summit on Tuesday, Hadi Sirika, the minister of aviation, sent the letter to the governor.
The airport, according to Sirika, will connect Nigeria to the rest of the world and make Lagos more accessible for global business collaborations.
