Man Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison For Raping A Minor by a Recent Court

Uchenna Izuka was given a 15-year prison term by an Ikeja Special Offenses Court on Tuesday for defiling a 12-year-old girl.

According to Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, the prosecution was successful in showing Uzuka’s guilt.

The judge recalled the victim’s testimony on the defendant defiling her at some point between 2018 and 2019.

The victim was pulled into the offender’s chamber, where they engaged in sexual activity, the court was informed.

She was bleeding on another occasion, but the defendant cleaned her up with tissue paper.

“She said that she had previously been a virgin and that her father had taken her to the hospital for a checkup after seeing that she was having trouble walking.

“Medical examination also revealed the hymen was absent,”

NAN reported what Taiwo said.

Although the defendant first denied conducting the crime, the judge stated that he later admitted having called the survivor into his room and giving her money.

Justice Taiwo decided that the defendant was guilty as charged based on the evidence that was presented to the court.

The defendant is hereby given a sentence of 15 years in jail without the possibility of parole or a fine.

He announced.

According to Olakunle Ligali and Omowumi Bajulaye-Bishi, the defendant committed the crime at Ajegunle in January 2019.

The act was against Section 137 of the Lagos State Criminal Laws from 2015.
