MASSOB, the opposition party in Imo State, has been paid to disrupt elections

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) claims that there will be disruptions at the governorship election in Imo State on November 11 due to paid opponents.

Uchenna Madu, the leader of MASSOB, has denied any involvement in any such plan to disrupt the next election.

Madu claimed that MASSOB’s opponents were using the organization’s name to spread fear ahead of the forthcoming election.

Madu said, “Nobody can stop the Imo State governorship election on November 11, 2023.”

The statement says, in part, “We have observed that some disgruntled elements and impostors who disguise themselves as pro-Biafran agitators are using the self-determination struggle for Biafra for selfish and personal interest of amassing wealth and monetary gains.”

Biafra Prime Minister, Biafra Republic Government in Exile, Biafra De facto government, etc. are all examples of the “Biafra portfolio” that these people are attempting to trade in under the name of the country.

We further observe that this will allow the corrupt INEC officials for the Imo State Governorship poll to more easily rig the poll in their favor against the desire of the people.

It’s also a rallying cry for complete chaos in Imo State.

It will also make it easier for Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s federal government to take charge of an emergency situation in Imo State.

“MASSOB warns these paid detractors, unfriendly, and self-proclaimed pro-Biafra agitators to stop deceiving our people and commercializing the Biafran struggle for self-determination,” the group said.
