Mourinho says that Chelsea cannot sign Roma star

Even though striker Paulo Dybala has been linked to Chelsea, AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho has denied the rumor, according to TuttoMercatoWeb (via Football London).

This month, Dybala’s alleged transfer from Roma to Chelsea was in the news.

Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Chelsea, is reportedly trying to sign the Argentine international this January due to his immense admiration for him.

Since his transfer from Juventus, Dybala has been an integral part of Roma’s success.

Roma, though, have been erratic this season, and Dybala’s frequent absences haven’t helped matters.

Nevertheless, Mourinho is of the belief that the 30-year-old forward will stay with the Serie A club beyond this month and that Chelsea will not be able to sign him.

There is a £10 million release clause in Dybala’s contract, but it doesn’t go into effect until January 15.
